The signature donut shade was made as a nod to the NSTCo’s favorite touring band, Phish, and their song Blaze On. The song was written on February 8th, 2015 on the Outer Banks of North Carolina by Trey Anastasio and Tom Marshall. February 8th is serendipitously also my birthday, and I’ve been very fortunate to have these made into reality.

Each pair of sunglasses begins as a piece of multi-ply maple, the very same used in high quality skateboard decks. 

The wood is cut to form and manually sanded down before being laser etched for over two hours per arm to achieve the highly detailed relief from the top layer.

They are then carefully assembled by hand before being finished off with fully polarized uv400 rated lenses. 

Each pair is accessorized by a soft drawstring slip case which doubles as a lens cleaner and a solid cylindrical bamboo case featuring the logo of our parent company, Time of the Season Productions.

Every set has unique details in the wood, making them not only exclusive in their limited run but also one-of-a-kind themselves.

For each order, two bamboo trees are planted through the manufacturer to maintain a green footprint and offset the use of resources for the cases.

Secret fun fact: these things float!!! Makes them great for aquatic sports, surfing and outings on the water.
